Mit seiner maximalen Kapazit&#xE4;t von 2245 Megawatt (MW) ist das Solarkraftwerk eines der gr&#xF6;&#xDF;ten der Welt.<\/p>\n<p>Das Projekt wurde im Jahr 2015 als Teil eines Plans gestartet, mit dem die Regierung Indiens den Anteil erneuerbarer Energiequellen an der Gesamtproduktion erh&#xF6;hen will. Das Ziel ist, wie auch in vielen anderen L&#xE4;ndern, die Abh&#xE4;ngigkeit von fossilen Energiequellen zu reduzieren, die neben der wirtschaftlichen Abh&#xE4;ngigkeit Nachteile in Bezug auf Luftverschmutzung und die Emission von Treibhausgasen haben.<\/p>\n<p>Der Bhadla-Solarpark wurde vom staatlichen Unternehmen National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) errichtet und erstreckt sich &#xFC;ber eine Fl&#xE4;che von 57 Quadratkilometern. F&#xFC;r die Produktion elektrischer Energie werden sowohl photovoltaische (ca. 40 Quadratkilometer) als auch solarthermische (ca. 17 Quadratkilometer) Anlagen verwendet. W&#xE4;hrend die Photovoltaik die Sonnenenergie direkt in elektrische Spannung umwandelt, erfolgt die Erzeugung elektrischer Energie in solarthermischen Anlagen &#xFC;ber den Umweg der Dampferzeugung f&#xFC;r Generatoren. Insgesamt versorgt der Solarpark etwa 1,3 Millionen Haushalte, wobei gegen&#xFC;ber fossilen Energietr&#xE4;gern die Kohlenstoffdioxid-Emissionen um vier Millionen Tonnen pro Jahr verringert werden.<\/p>\n<p>Die Serie der in der Karte ausw&#xE4;hlbaren Satellitenbilder vermittelt einen Eindruck davon, wie rasch dieses ausgedehnte Solarkraftwerk errichtet wurde.<\/p>\n<h3>&#xDC;bungen<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Satellitenkarte:\n<ul>\n<li>Was kannst du in den Satellitenaufnahmen erkennen?
