Die Stadt geht auf antike Wurzeln zur&#xFC;ck und diente als Handelsknotenpunkt am Gro&#xDF;en Kanal, der Nord- und S&#xFC;dchina verbindet. &#xDC;ber die Jahrhunderte entwickelte sich Suqian zu einem regionalen Handels- und Wirtschaftszentrum.<\/p>\n<p>W&#xE4;hrend der letzten Jahrzehnte hat Suqian einen wirtschaftlichen Aufschwung erlebt, der auch in den Satellitenaufnahmen zu erkennen ist. Das Bruttosozialprodukt nahm zwischen 2000 und 2020 von 1 Mrd. Euro auf &#xFC;ber 30 Mrd. Euro zu. Dieses Wachstum wurde von Investitionen in die Industrie, Landwirtschaft und Technologien getrieben, heute &#xFC;berschreiten die j&#xE4;hrlichen Exporte 20 Mrd. Euro. Die strategische Lage der Stadt, gut entwickelte Infrastruktur und eine wirtschaftsfreundliche Politik haben mehr als 10.000 nationale und internationale Unternehmen angelockt.<\/p>\n<p>Suqian f&#xFC;hlt sich einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung und &#x201E;gr&#xFC;nen&#x201C; Initiativen verpflichtet. Dazu geh&#xF6;rt die Aufforstung von 800 Quadratkilometern Wald und die Anwendung erneuerbarer Energiequellen, die derzeit etwa 30% des Energiebedarfs decken.
